NETWORK UPDATE Dear Dynexians, we expected that our algorithm change will come with a few bumps before everything becomes stable and smooth. Please know that we are dedicated to keeping the network clean of any malicious activities, we are working non-stop on it. We apologise for any inconveniences this may have caused. So far we managed to bring down a major part of the illegal mining activity to a fraction of what we have seen over the last few days.
However, we detected still some harmful activities from FPGAs which are bypassing our security measurements. These generate a number of "unknown" mined blocks and are hidden between legit solo mining transactions (we have the advantage that we can clearly identify which those are). To make the network ironclad, an additional consensus functionality needs to be implemented in the nodes. We are certain that all of you share the opinion that this has to be done to ensure that Dynex runs a high quality and reliable GPU friendly network without any unfair practices happening.
Expect a node update sometimes during tomorrow, Sunday. With foresight did we ask the exchange to disable deposits & withdrawals over the weekend until we have stabilised everything, so we have the option to roll-back to a certain block height and also to compensate legit miners. Please post your suggestions in the #mining channel. Again, we wanted to thank you for all your support and we are looking forward to focusing on building up Dynex together!
